Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalib Koscheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Doomsday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koscheck's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out. Derek Doomsday will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

20 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Derek Doomsday! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doomsday clinches. Doomsday lands a hook that snaps the head of Koscheck backwards. Doomsday misses with a hook to the ribs.
Koscheck pulls guard effortlessly. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Doomsday postures up and lands a big shot to Koscheck's brow. Doomsday missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Koscheck has his hands on Doomsday's head, controlling the position. Koscheck working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Doomsday. Koscheck controls Doomsday momentarily but Doomsday frees himself. Doomsday in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Koscheck is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Doomsday got a little sloppy there for a moment and Koscheck has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Doomsday has managed to get both his arms back between Koscheck's legs - danger averted.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Doomsday wants to control from the top but Koscheck keeps moving. Doomsday throwing strikes from guard but Koscheck blocks nicely. Doomsday throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Koscheck works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Doomsday is looking to work some ground and pound but Koscheck has wrist control. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Doomsday accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Doomsday postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Doomsday passes into half guard. Doomsday takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Koscheck is staying active underneath Doomsday, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Doomsday seems to be working for a kimura but Koscheck defends the submission attempt. Doomsday throwing shots but Koscheck is blocking nicely. Doomsday prevents Koscheck from standing back up.

Doomsday has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Koscheck is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Doomsday. Doomsday misses with a low kick. Doomsday tries to clinch there but Koscheck circles away.

and Koscheck counters with a three punch combo that has Doomsday backing up. Doomsday nods at Koscheck to acknowledge the strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Koscheck throws a nice looking combination but Doomsday bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Koscheck on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Doomsday. Doomsday obviously looking to wear him down.
Doomsday looks to score with a jab to the body but Koscheck is just out of range. Koscheck throws a head kick that misses and Doomsday counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Doomsday chopping away at his opponent's legs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Doomsday moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Kalib Koscheck is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Doomsday looks to land a left hand but Koscheck moved out of range nicely. Koscheck is rocked! Doomsday throws a jab when Koscheck was well out of range. Oh Koscheck is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Koscheck moves away from the strike by Doomsday. Koscheck seems to have got his legs back now. Doomsday lands with a nice body punch. Doomsday is looking to score with low kicks. Doomsday rushes Koscheck and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Koscheck tries for a takedown. No joy.

Doomsday pushes Koscheck back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Koscheck walks into a stiff left hand from Doomsday. A punch lands to the side of Koscheck 's head but he takes it in his stride. Doomsday fails with an attempt to clinch.
Derek Doomsday is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Doomsday clinches up with Koscheck and pushes him back against the cage. Doomsday throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Koschecks head. Koscheck has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A nice right hand lands inside from Doomsday. Doomsday tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Koscheck's elbow. Doomsday tries a body shot but Koscheck blocks it.
Doomsday swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Doomsday cracks Koscheck with a nice body shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Doomsday doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doomsday's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Koscheck manages to break the clinch.
Koscheck avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Doomsday misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Koscheck counters with a stiff right hand. Koscheck finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Doomsday's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Koscheck falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
