The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Boxer.
It looks like Hulk Hogan has been cut.
Boxer tries to land a front kick but Hogan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hulk Hogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A punch combination from Hogan misses.
Hogan uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hogan lands a jab.
Hogan feints and as Boxer raises his hands in defense, Hogan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Boxer has control of Hogan's left arm, preventing Hogan from doing any damage.
Hogan throws a big right hand that misses.
Hogan throwing strikes but missing.
Hogan is sitting in close to Boxer's body. Boxer has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Hogan is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Hogan is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Boxer.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Barbara Boxer! Barbara Boxer retains his super heavyweight title!
Barbara Boxer spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
