Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pepper OKeefe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pepper OKeefe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from OKeefe as Rogers shoots in. OKeefe doesn't manage to clinch there - Rogers circles away.
OKeefe tries to clinch but Rogers moves out of range. OKeefe connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rogers momentarily.
OKeefe looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Rogers keeping moving, preventing OKeefe from controlling successfully. OKeefe trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Rogers is looking for a triangle but OKeefe pushes his legs off easily.
OKeefe throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rogers manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. OKeefe manages to get himself to full guard.

You can't force these things though and Rogers defends well. OKeefe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Rogers controls from within his opponent's guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Steve Rogers wasn't active enough on the ground. OKeefe shoots in looking for a takedown. Rogers tries to sprawl out of it but OKeefe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rogers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Rogers lands a left and a right that send OKeefe crashing to the mat, dazed. Rogers thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Pepper OKeefe has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! OKeefe moves in looking to clinch but Rogers pushes him off. No joy there for OKeefe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rogers throws a combination that misses and OKeefe counters with a nice double leg into half guard. OKeefe is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. OKeefe passes to full mount! Rogers tries to buck OKeefe off but he can't manage it. Rogers tries to hold on but OKeefe postures up. Rogers tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rogers blocking the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. OKeefe wants to control but Rogers has made it back to half guard. Nice work. OKeefe prevents Rogers from standing back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. OKeefe missing with the ground and pound from half guard. OKeefe stalling away here and it's allowed Rogers to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. OKeefe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Rogers is trying to keep OKeefe in close.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as OKeefe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. OKeefe wanted to stand there but Rogers had control of the position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! OKeefe throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rogers scrambles and gets back to his feet.

A close round but Steve Rogers will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Pepper OKeefe's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
OKeefe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. OKeefe wants to control the position but Rogers says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. OKeefe is looking to control Rogers's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can OKeefe avoid being mounted? Rogers is looking to take a break and control but OKeefe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rogers blocks the strikes from OKeefe.
OKeefe looking for submissions off his back. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. OKeefe is looking to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers works his way into side control. OKeefe takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Rogers is looking to take a break and control but OKeefe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. OKeefe looks to move to half guard but instead Rogers has passed into mount! Damn! Rogers content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Rogers lands a big head kick that sends OKeefe tumbling to the mat! Rogers takes a step backwards and waves OKeefe back to his feet - he wants the finish!
OKeefe is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rogers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. OKeefe tries to avoid it but Rogers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag OKeefe to the ground. OKeefe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Oh OKeefe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rogers clinches with his opponent.
OKeefe seems to have got his legs back now. Rogers drags the fight down to the ground.
OKeefe throws an elbow that misses. Rogers uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in OKeefe's guard. Nice move by Rogers! OKeefe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rogers wants to control from the top but OKeefe keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. OKeefe trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Rogers is stalling in the full guard. Rogers wants to control from the top but OKeefe keeps moving. Rogers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rogers is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Steve Rogers was stalling too much, according to the referee. Rogers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from OKeefe.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogers shoots in for a double leg but OKeefe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. OKeefe throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rogers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by OKeefe. Rogers instigates a clinch. Rogers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rogers fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The fighters are battling for position here. OKeefe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Rogers postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Steve Rogers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Pepper OKeefe's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and OKeefe wants it to stay on the feet. Pepper OKeefe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rogers!

OKeefe trying to control the hands but Rogers won't let him. OKeefe controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. OKeefe tries to break free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of OKeefe's body.
Let's hope that Rogers has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Steve Rogers has got the better of the ground game so far.

And that's the end of the fight! Steve Rogers comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rogers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
