Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva looking to score a takedown here. DaSilva is defending well but Silva drives through and ends up in DaSilva's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
DaSilva pulls Silva in close to prevent any damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. DaSilva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. DaSilva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and DaSilva defends well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silva isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. DaSilva stacks Silva on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by DaSilva!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruno Silva dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
DaSilva uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Silva has time to react.
DaSilva slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and DaSilva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Silva's guard now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
