Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Atte Leppanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leppanen comes to the cage accompanied by Red Alert 2 - Hell march 2. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Atte Leppanen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrei Emelianenko! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leppanen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Leppanen is thwarting Emelianenko's attempts to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Leppanen landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Emelianenko is trying is best to control the position here. Emelianenko wants to control but Leppanen is keeping busy.
Leppanen sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Emelianenko defending well though. Leppanen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Emelianenko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Emelianenko gets full guard. Emelianenko trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Leppanen is in close to Emelianenko's body, working some short punches and elbows. Emelianenko is looking for a triangle but Leppanen pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Leppanen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Emelianenko has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Leppanen off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Emelianenko moves out of range of the leg kick from Leppanen. Leppanen slips a jab and a cross from Emelianenko.
Emelianenko misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Emelianenko looks gassed! Emelianenko decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Emelianenko is stalling here. Leppanen is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Emelianenko seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Leppanen has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leppanen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Emelianenko is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Emelianenko is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Leppanen's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko is looking to improve his position.
Emelianenko is not content to let Leppanen control the position. The fighters are battling for position here. Emelianenko manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Leppanen slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Emelianenko is looking to reverse the position. Leppanen looking to control but instead Emelianenko has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Ground and pound from Leppanen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Leppanen pulls his head out easily. Emelianenko wants to control but Leppanen is keeping busy and won't allow it. Emelianenko wants to sweep but Leppanen has passed to side control! Emelianenko sneaks back into half guard. Emelianenko makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Emelianenko. Emelianenko is looking for a triangle but Leppanen pushes his legs off easily.
Emelianenko has his foot on Leppanen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Leppanen works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko has his hands on Leppanen's head, controlling the position. Emelianenko wriggles free and stands up. Leppanen throws a nice looking combination but Emelianenko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Atte Leppanen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Leppanen scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Leppanen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Leppanen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Some wild striking there from Emelianenko.
Nice takedown defense from Leppanen. No joy for Emelianenko on that attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Emelianenko displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Leppanen instigates a clinch. Emelianenko jumps guard but Leppanen stands there with Emelianenko around his waist. Emelianenko gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Leppanen is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Emelianenko can't fight it off and eventually Leppanen manages to take the fight to the floor. Emelianenko looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrei Emelianenko dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Leppanen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Leppanen working away. Leppanen scores with a couple of short elbows. Leppanen lands a nice forearm strike. Leppanen working the ground and pound from side control. Emelianenko is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Emelianenko is trying to get back to half guard. Leppanen trying to control the position but Emelianenko is working away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Emelianenko manages to work his way to half guard, despite Leppanen's best efforts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leppanen prevents Emelianenko from improving his position. Andrei Emelianenko has got the better of the ground game so far. Emelianenko wants to get back to his feet.

Emelianenko working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Leppanen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Leppanen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Leppanen postures up.
Emelianenko is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Leppanen frees his head nicely. Oh but Emelianenko has switched to an armbar! Leppanen is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
