Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Russell Belcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Terrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terrell is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Creeping Death. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Russell Belcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Terrell!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Belcher lands.

Terrell scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Belcher manages to get back to half guard.
Belcher is trying to get back to full guard.
Terrell is looking to stall here but Belcher recovers full guard.
Terrell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Belcher is keeping the position for now.
Belcher keeping moving, preventing Terrell from controlling successfully.
Terrell looking to pass the guard.
Terrell wants to control from the top but Belcher keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Terrell looking to sit in guard and control but Belcher gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Belcher has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Terrell looking to hit a scissor sweep but Belcher is one step ahead there.

Terrell isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Belcher stacks Terrell on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Belcher!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Terrell stops Belcher from passing to mount.
Terrell is pushing Belcher's head away, looking to escape. Belcher manages to hold on to the position though.

Terrell manages to work his way to half guard, despite Belcher's best efforts.
Belcher tries to stand and escape but Terrell is controlling the position.

Belcher is looking to stall here but Terrell recovers full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Belcher throws an elbow that misses. Terrell uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Belcher's guard. Nice move by Terrell!
Belcher has Terrell pulled in close to control his posture.
Belcher utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Belcher on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Belcher tries to get out of the position.

Belcher keeping moving, preventing Terrell from controlling successfully.
Terrell with a flurry of punches that miss.
Terrell passes into half guard.

Terrell seems to be working for a kimura but Belcher defends the submission attempt.
Belcher wants to improve his position but Terrell is controlling well.

Terrell escapes and gets back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Good exchange - Belcher coming out on top.
Belcher uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Terrell has time to react.
Terrell fails to land the takedown.
Belcher bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Terrell displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Belcher throws out the jab.
Terrell misses with a takedown attempt - Belcher sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Belcher fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Terrell, pushing him back against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Terrell is looking for a takedown.
Russell Belcher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Terrell.
Belcher gets through Terrell's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Belcher prevents a takedown attempt there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Belcher scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Terrell blocks an uppercut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Belcher creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Russell Belcher will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Terrell walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Belcher stuffs the takedown.
Belcher moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Belcher fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Terrell looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Belcher shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Belcher showed some decent athleticism there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Belcher moves into full mount! Terrell won't be happy about that!
Belcher looking to control but Terrell is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Belcher scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Terrell?
Terrell tries to lock up and control but Belcher gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Belcher trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Belcher landing shots from mount.
Terrell tries to hold on but Belcher pushes him away.
Belcher fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Terrell tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Belcher lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.


Terrell is rocked!
Belcher looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Terrell covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Russell Belcher!
