Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stephen Williams!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haws takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Some wild striking there from Haws.
Williams dodges the punch combination from Haws.
Williams fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Haws is out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Williams looks to land a left hand but Haws moved out of range nicely.
Haws lands with a kick to the ribs.

Williams stuffs the takedown.
Haws avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Haws feints a jab promting Williams to slip. Haws then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Williams slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Haws is looking to clinch.

Haws throws a series of punches but Williams moves out of range.
Williams slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Haws tries to score a power double leg takedown but Williams sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Haws somewhat.
Williams connects with a looping right hand.

Jon Haws seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Haws, right into the meat.

Williams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Haws pinned against the cage. Haws gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Haws escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Williams counters with a stiff right hand.
Williams looks to land a left hand but Haws moved out of range nicely.

Haws looks to score with a jab to the body but Williams is just out of range.
Williams cracks Haws with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Haws looks to land a combination but Williams avoids it well.
Haws checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Williams shoots in and bounces Haws off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Haws is breathing heavily.

Williams drops back looking for a leg! Haws is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Haws manages to kick Williams off! Williams jumps back into Haws's guard.

Haws avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Haws pulls Williams in to control the position.
Williams throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Haws works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Williams distracts Haws with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Williams wants to control from the top but Haws keeps moving.

Haws is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Haws lands some strikes from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Williams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Haws holds on and takes a little breather.
Williams throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Haws pulls Williams in close to prevent any damage.

Haws working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Williams doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Williams manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Williams throws a big elbow that misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Williams stops Haws from standing up.
Williams wants to control from the top but Haws keeps moving.
Haws avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Haws working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Williams.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stephen Williams dominated that round.

Williams throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Haws rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Williams moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Haws has closed the distance and engaged Williams in a clinch.
Haws throws an elbow but it misses.

Haws breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Williams's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Haws connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Williams scrambles back to his feet.
Williams has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Haws has closed the distance and engaged Williams in a clinch.
Williams looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Haws escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Haws fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Haws shoots in but no luck this time.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jon Haws is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Williams drops Haws with a beautiful combination! Haws stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Williams is looking for the KO!
This has been an exciting period of action!
and Williams counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Haws! He's just covering up as Williams starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
