Cage's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Johnny Cage Theme. Kenny Monday is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

9 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenny Monday! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slapping leg kick lands for Cage.
Cage lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Monday doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Cage misses with a lunging right hand
and Monday counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Monday looks to land a left hand but Cage moved out of range nicely. Cage lands a slapping body shot.
Cage motions for Monday to come forward. Cage throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Monday misses with a looping right. Cage fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cage.
Monday stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cage. Cage throws a head kick that misses. Excellent takedown into side control there by Monday. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Monday is working Cage over with some ground and pound from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monday fails to land a wild elbow strike.
You can see the frustration on Cage's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Cage holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Monday trying to control the position but Cage is working away. Monday working away. Monday is working Cage over with some ground and pound from side control. Monday is trying to ground and pound but Cage uses the momentary lack of control by Monday to regain half guard. Cage blocking the ground and pound attempt from Monday.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Monday throws a strike but Cage avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Monday lands a couple of elbows. Monday is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Monday missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Monday works over Cage with some ground and pound from guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cage avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Monday is looking to work some ground and pound but Cage has wrist control. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Monday accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Monday wants to pass the guard but Cage is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Monday working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Monday lands a couple of elbows. Monday has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Monday chips away with some ground and pound. Monday pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cage is keeping the position for now. Monday content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Monday in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Monday throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cage keeping moving, preventing Monday from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cage preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Monday lands a couple of elbows. Monday passes Cage's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Monday wants to pass to mount but Cage is defending the position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Monday is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cage is just riding it out for now. Monday eventually gives up the hold. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Monday looks to score some points with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenny Monday dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Monday connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Monday takes a swing at Cage's ribcage but misses. Johnny Cage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cage steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Monday. Cage misses with a head kick.
Monday moves out of range as Cage strikes. Cage ducks under a wild hook from Monday. Monday moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Monday pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Monday jabbing away but nothing is landing. Monday has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Cage. Monday shoots in and gets a takedown into Cage's guard. Monday throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cage works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Monday slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Monday sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cage's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monday thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Monday works his foot free and advances to mount. Monday sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Cage wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Monday.
Monday thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Monday fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Cage is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Monday looking to finish Cage with some ground and pound. This is bad for Cage! Oh Cage is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Oooooh, big shot lands for Monday! Cage is hurt baaadly! Monday is firing away with more strikes - Cage is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
