Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between GeJay Cafrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Basher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Basher comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hunt You Down- Saliva kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! James Basher acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, GeJay Cafrey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Basher! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Basher lands a head shot. Basher lands a high kick!
It looks like GeJay Cafrey has been cut. Basher throws a lazy right hand but Cafrey sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Basher throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cafrey stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Basher scores with a one two! Cafrey had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cafrey is looking to clinch. Basher tries to bum rush Cafrey with a series of wild strikes but Cafrey uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Basher swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Basher falls off balance throwing a combination
and Cafrey counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Basher ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cafrey moves away. Basher throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Basher connects with a body shot. Cafrey is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cafrey avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sloppy strikes from Basher. Those never looked like landing. Basher throws a looping overhand right but Cafrey ducks down to avoid it. Cafrey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Basher. A jab from Basher does it's job there. Basher throws a sloppy head kick and Cafrey moves out of range easily. No joy there for Basher, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Basher throws a shot from downtown. Cafrey moves away and avoids it. Some wild striking there from Basher.
Cafrey blocks a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cafrey will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Basher wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Basher pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Basher scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Basher misses with the combination.
Cafrey slips a jab and a cross from Basher.
Basher throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cafrey sees it coming and avoids it easily. Basher swinging wildly here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Basher throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cafrey lands with a kick to the temple. Basher shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Basher scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Basher misses with a looping right. A nice combination there by Cafrey.
Cafrey takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Cafrey connects with the punch. Good standup being displayed there by Basher as he connects with a hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Basher lands with a good body shot. Cafrey on the wrong end of a nice hook.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Basher.
Basher drops Cafrey with a beautiful combination! Cafrey stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Basher is looking for the KO!
Cafrey is rocked! Basher finds Cafrey's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Cafrey flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Basher lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Cafrey will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). James Basher! A less than humble James Basher misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
