Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Plant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Marko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Plant comes to the cage accompanied by Au innebunit salcamii. Marko comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Unstoppable-E.S. Posthumus kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Cain Marko has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Marcus Plant's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cain Marko!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plant gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Marko.
Marcus Plant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Plant throws a low kick but Marko moves out of range easily.
Marko misses with a few strikes there.
Plant shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Marko pinned against the cage. Marko gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Marko uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Plant.
Marko keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Plant avoids the body shot from Marko.

Plant throws a low kick, looking for Marko's leg but Marko calmly moves out of range.

Plant clinches up against the cage.
Plant throws a punch but it's blocked by Marko.
Marko swings wildly with an uppercut but Plant uses good head movement to avoid it.
A bit of stalling here from Plant.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Marko breaks the clinch.
Plant throws a looping overhand right but Marko ducks down to avoid it.
Plant shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Marko but Marko pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Plant misses with a straight left.
Plant dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Marko. That did some damage!
Marko defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Plant.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Plant. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marko takes a swing at Plant's ribcage but misses.
Nice jab there from Plant.
Marko misses the shot to the body.
Marko tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Plant was well out of range. Poor timing from Marko.

Marko gets tackled into the cage by Plant. Plant maintains the clinch.
Marko struggles to land a body shot inside as Plant controls his hands.
Marko tries to circle away but Plant has him pinned against the cage.

It looks like Marcus Plant has been cut.
Marko scores with a shoulder strike.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Plant's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Plant is rocked!

Plant is breathing heavily.
With the fighters up against the cage, Plant throws an elbow but misses.

Marko breaks the clinch.

Plant drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Plant won't allow Marko to sweep him here.
Plant is looking to work some ground and pound but Marko has wrist control.
Marko tries to land a sweep but no joy.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Plant accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Marko can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Plant controls the pace.
Marko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Plant missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Plant stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marko swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Plant is fighting to break Marko's control of his arms but Marko is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Marko manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Plant manages to get himself to full guard.

Plant had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Marko defends it easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Marko avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Marko trying to control the position from guard on top but Plant is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Marko scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Plant has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Marko has managed to get both his arms back between Plant's legs - danger averted.

Plant is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Plant looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Plant thows a huge punch but Marko dodges it nicely.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Plant thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Plant throwing shots but Marko is blocking nicely.
Marko is staying active underneath Plant, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Cain Marko will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Marko scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Marko swings for the body but Plant moves out of range.
Plant throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Marko steps into range and cracks Plant with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Plant flops backwards and Marko dives into his guard looking to finish!
Oh Plant is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Plant looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Marko seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Marko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Marko is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Marcus Plant overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Marko arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Plant's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
