The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roberts keeps the fight on the outside.
Roberts throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Salle.
No luck for Salle with that takedown attempt.
Roberts shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Roberts was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Salle should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Salle shoots in looking for a takedown. Roberts tries to sprawl out of it but Salle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Roberts manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Salle walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Roberts lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Salle tries to lock up and control but Roberts gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Roberts has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Salle's face.
Salle is squirming around, avoiding Roberts's attempts to control the action.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Salle has eaten all the pies!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tim Roberts.
Well Roberts has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
