Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jermaine Choake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert York (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Choake's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hans Zimmer - The Kraken. Robert York will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Robert York!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from York does no damage.
York throws a low kick but Choake avoids it.
York misses with a body kick.
Choake thows a left - swing and a miss!
York swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Choake tries for a takedown but York circles away easily
letting York counter with a right hand.

Choake gets a double leg takedown into York's guard.
York pulls Choake in close to his closed guard and prevents Choake from doing any damage or advancing position.
Choake trying to control but York is working from the bottom.
Choake is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Choake distracts York with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Choake is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

York is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Choake scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Choake passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Choake remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

York really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Choake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee is taking a good look at Choake as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from York!
York doesn't have the hooks in and Choake manages to turn into his guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Choake is in close to York's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Choake will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning York up against the cage.
Choake drops to a knee looking for a takedown but York gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jermaine Choake. That's going to take a lot out of him.

York wants to control but Choake is keeping busy.
