The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McCloy throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cruz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McCloy is in Cruz's guard.
Cruz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
McCloy throws a big right hand that misses.

Cruz drops back looking for a leg! McCloy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McCloy manages to kick Cruz off! Cruz jumps back into McCloy's guard.
McCloy thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cruz prevents McCloy from getting back to his feet.

McCloy throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

McCloy wants to stand and escape but Cruz is having none of it.

McCloy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cruz on the ground.

Cruz drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Cruz as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! McCloy screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Cruz! Nice submission victory there!
