Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Julio Cesar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cesar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Saliva - Superstar. Hugo Gonzales has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julio Cesar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hugo Gonzales! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzales keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gonzales goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Cesar throws an overhand right that lands on Gonzales's shoulder, as Gonzales tries to avoid the shot. Julio Cesar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cesar catches Gonzales with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Gonzales looks to throw the jab but Cesar is out of range. Gonzales tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cesar is able to avoid easily. Gonzales fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cesar avoids it really well and circles away. Gonzales fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gonzales looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cesar is fending him off so far but Gonzales persists. Nope, Cesar circles away and we're back to standing. Julio Cesar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hugo Gonzales. Cesar connects with an inside leg kick. Gonzales takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Gonzales on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cesar blocks a low kick nicely. Cesar scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Gonzales ducks right into an uppercut from Cesar. Cesar feints and then cracks Gonzales's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gonzales down. Gonzales takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Cesar pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Gonzales lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cesar sizes up Gonzales with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Nice takedown defense from Cesar. No joy for Gonzales on that attempt. Cesar looks to land a left hand but Gonzales moved out of range nicely. A punch lands to the side of Gonzales 's head but he takes it in his stride. Cesar lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Julio Cesar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gonzales fails with a takedown attempt. Cesar misses with a head kick.
Gonzales throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Gonzales throws a jab but it's blocked by Cesar. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cesar, as that shot connected.

Cesar throws a nice inside leg kick. Gonzales throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cesar's waist but Cesar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gonzales off to one side. Gonzales steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cesar. Cesar scores with a leg kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Cesar. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gonzales throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cesar throws a jab but it's blocked by Gonzales.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cesar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cesar scores with a leg kick.
Cesar lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gonzales misses the jab. Cesar connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gonzales momentarily.
Gonzales's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Gonzales stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cesar. Gonzales shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cesar's guard. Gonzales trying to control but Cesar is working from the bottom. Gonzales throws an elbow that misses. Cesar uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gonzales's guard. Nice move by Cesar! Gonzales looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cesar is one step ahead there. Cesar stands up and waves to Gonzales to follow him. Cesar is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gonzales shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cesar pinned against the cage. Cesar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Gonzales throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cesar. Gonzales looks to land a left hand but Cesar moved out of range nicely. Gonzales takes one to the chin there. A jab from Gonzales does it's job there. Cesar fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gonzales looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Cesar looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Gonzales loads up on a big right hand but Cesar slips the punch. Cesar throws a hook but Gonzales blocks it. Gonzales throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Gonzales looks to land a right hand but Cesar moved out of range. Gonzales shoots in looking for a takedown. Cesar tries to sprawl out of it but Gonzales keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cesar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Gonzales fails with a takedown attempt. Gonzales looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cesar smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Gonzales misses with a hook. Gonzales has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Cesar. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cesar scores with a nice body kick.

Cesar connects with a body shot that sends Gonzales's belly button to the back. Cesar lands a lovely overhand right. Gonzales shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cesar sprawls well. Cesar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gonzales gets slowly back to his feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cesar uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gonzales. Good shot there by Cesar. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Cesar lands a lovely overhand right. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julio Cesar dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Gonzales looks up at the clock. Bad move! Cesar lands a right hand from hell, dropping Gonzales. Cesar pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Julio Cesar! A relieved looking Julio Cesar thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
