Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jericho Datu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crash Bandicoot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Datu comes into the arena with Ridin Dirty blaring out of the sound system. Bandicoot has chosen Crash Bandicoot: Jungle Rollers Remix as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Crash Bandicoot was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Crash Bandicoot! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bandicoot fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bandicoot with a lazy takedown attempt and Datu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Datu shoots in for a double leg but Bandicoot sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Datu scores with a punch to the head. Datu tries to clinch there but Bandicoot circles away.
Bandicoot moves into range and clinches up with Datu. Datu is looking for a takedown. Datu on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Bandicoot misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Datu.
Datu is trying to break the clinch but Bandicoot is controlling him. Datu blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Bandicoot looking to throw knees to the head but Datu is blocking nicely.
Datu drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bandicoot pulls his leg out and moves away.

This has been an exciting period of action! Datu has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bandicoot is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Bandicoot doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Datu scores with a one two! Bandicoot had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Bandicoot is looking to clinch. Bandicoot looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bandicoot tries to clinch up. Datu misses with a double jab
and Bandicoot counters with a series of strikes. Datu will be more careful next time no doubt.

Nice sprawl there from Datu as Bandicoot shoots in. Bandicoot is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Datu stuffs the takedown attempt from Bandicoot. Bandicoot gets slowly back to his feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bandicoot misses with a takedown attempt - Datu sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Datu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bandicoot manages to avoid it. Datu gets caught napping as Bandicoot dives in and scores a takedown. Datu manages to retain guard. Bandicoot is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bandicoot looks gassed! Datu wants to control but Bandicoot passes easily into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bandicoot wants to work for an arm triangle but Datu is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Datu is not content to let Bandicoot control the position. Bandicoot thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Datu's head. Datu is trying to maintain the position but Bandicoot is very close to passing his half guard. Bandicoot is trying to control the action in half guard but Datu is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Bandicoot throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Bandicoot seems to be looking for submissions.
Bandicoot is looking to take a break and control but Datu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bandicoot has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bandicoot is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Bandicoot is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Bandicoot tries to pass the half guard into mount. Datu knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Bandicoot is working for a submission of some sort.

Crash Bandicoot dominated that round. That's time! Datu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Datu throws a front kick aimed at Bandicoot's knee but Bandicoot avoids it well. Bandicoot tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bandicoot tries to close the distance and clinch up but Datu swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bandicoot tries to clinch but Datu is having none of it. Bandicoot rushes Datu and presses him up against the cage. Datu is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Bandicoot wants to stall.

Bandicoot wants to take the fight to the mat but Datu manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Datu can't break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bandicoot lands an elbow inside that Datu shrugs off.

Bandicoot has clasped his hands together around Datu's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Bandicoot passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Datu! Datu is in all sorts of trouble here.
Datu bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Bandicoot keeping moving, preventing Datu from controlling successfully. Datu slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Bandicoot. Datu is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bandicoot has managed to free his arm - good work. Datu is working for a kimura but Bandicoot is defending it quite comfortably.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bandicoot is trying to get back to full guard. Datu wants to control but Bandicoot is keeping him busy. Bandicoot looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Bandicoot is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Datu pulls his head out easily. Bandicoot lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage. Bandicoot actively working from the bottom here. Bandicoot regains full guard. Nicely done.

Bandicoot is breathing heavily. Datu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bandicoot works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Bandicoot avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Datu with a flurry of punches that miss. Datu working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Bandicoot is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Datu defends well. Bandicoot trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bandicoot has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Datu doesn't defend quickly enough and Bandicoot has managed to lock this one up! Can Datu escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Bandicoot on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Crash Bandicoot! During a confident post fight interview, Crash Bandicoot thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
