Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robert Korpi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Yankowsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jimmy Yankowsky was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robert Korpi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jimmy Yankowsky!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Korpi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Yankowsky, pushing him back against the cage.
Korpi just leaning against Yankowsky, taking a breather.
Yankowsky is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Korpi successfully pulls guard.
Korpi managing to control the position.

Korpi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Korpi is adopting a defensive guard.
Yankowsky stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Korpi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Korpi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yankowsky on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Yankowsky thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Yankowsky drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yankowsky jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Yankowsky is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Korpi is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Korpi has escaped and now he's on top!

Yankowsky looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Korpi passes into side control.
Yankowsky manages to work his way to half guard, despite Korpi's best efforts.

Yankowsky working for a triangle but Korpi defends it easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Korpi is posturing up here but Yankowsky has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Korpi tries to roll out but it's too tight and Korpi has to tap! Slick submission there by Yankowsky!
