Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cristian Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ward comes to the ring accompanied by I will not bow. Cristian Romero has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jordan Ward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cristian Romero!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward tries a head kick but it misses.
Ward throws a hook but Romero blocks it.
Ward thuds his right hand into Romero's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Nice takedown defense from Ward. No joy for Romero on that attempt.
A big left from Ward misses.
Ward stuffs the takedown.
Romero shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ward sprawls well. Ward wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Romero gets slowly back to his feet.
Jordan Ward has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cristian Romero.
Romero will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ward misses with an uppercut. Romero saw that one coming.
Ward ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Romero moves away.
Romero doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Ward stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Romero fails with a takedown attempt.
Romero looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ward throws a body punch but Romero moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Romero uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ward.
Romero tries for a takedown but Ward circles away easily
and Ward counters with a straight right hand.
Romero shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ward defends it nicely.
Ward throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ward misses the shot to the body.
Ward scores with a hook.
A jab from Ward finds it's way through Romero's defenses.
Romero shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Romero shoots for a double leg takedown but Ward sprawls well. He's pushed Romero's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ward changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ward swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ward lands with a nice body punch.
Ward connects with a single shot there.
Ward ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Ward cracks Romero with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Romero looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Ward listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Romero is rocked!
Romero takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Romero is still on wobbly legs! Can Ward finish him?
Romero looks up at the clock. Bad move! Ward lands a right hand from hell, dropping Romero. Ward pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jordan Ward!
Jordan Ward spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
