Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy McDermot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDermot comes to the cage accompanied by HL. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy McDermot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Albert Fish! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDermot shoots in for a double leg but Fish sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Fish closes the distance and clinches. Fish working aggressively here.
Fish can't find room to land a body shot as McDermot controls the action.
Fish tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McDermot's elbow. McDermot breaks from the clinch.
Fish throws a body punch but McDermot moves out of range. McDermot has a takedown stuffed. McDermot throws a head kick but Fish moves out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from McDermot is defended easily by Fish. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy McDermot. That's going to take a lot out of him. McDermot is looking to clinch but Fish is avoiding it.

It looks like Albert Fish has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fish clobbers McDermot with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
That's one minute gone in the round. McDermot fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Fish lands with a hook. McDermot tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. McDermot swats away the attempt to clinch by Fish. Fish tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. McDermot manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Fish misses with a straight left. Fish connects with a body shot that sends McDermot's belly button to the back. Fish just misses with a punch to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McDermot. McDermot displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fish throws out the jab. McDermot feints and as Fish raises his hands in defense, McDermot changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fish managing to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fish keeping full guard, as McDermot tries to pass. McDermot wants to stand but Fish has a closed guard, so he can't escape. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fish is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. McDermot stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fish swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Albert Fish has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. McDermot avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fish misses the shot to the body. Fish scores with the left hand. McDermot knows he should have avoided that one. Fish swings for the body but McDermot moves out of range.

McDermot misses with a takedown attempt - Fish sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. McDermot has his takedown stuffed and Fish counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

McDermot breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. McDermot checks a leg kick. Fish is looking to clinch but McDermot is avoiding it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McDermot has his takedown stuffed and Fish counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Fish is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McDermot misses with a takedown and Fish cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Some wild striking there from Fish.

Fish slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Fish swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

McDermot gets caught napping as Fish dives in and scores a takedown. McDermot manages to retain guard. Fish must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Fish sitting in guard here, content to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Albert Fish dominated that round. The cut man is working on Albert Fish's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. McDermot gets caught napping as Fish dives in and scores a takedown. McDermot manages to retain guard. McDermot is looking for a triangle but Fish pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fish controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. McDermot looking to control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Fish tries to stand but McDermot is controlling from the bottom. McDermot had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fish defends it easily. McDermot tries to land a sweep but no joy.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Albert Fish hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Fish thows a body shot but no joy. Fish fails to land with a series of punches.
Fish goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. McDermot tries for a takedown but Fish sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A big left from Fish misses. Fish tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McDermot was well out of range. Poor timing from Fish. McDermot takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Jimmy McDermot is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice takedown defense from Fish. No joy for McDermot on that attempt. McDermot lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fish misses with a few strikes there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McDermot walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Fish checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. McDermot shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fish sprawls well. Fish wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McDermot gets slowly back to his feet. Fish ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fish, as that shot connected.

Fish keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. McDermot takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Fish closes the distance and lands a one-two. A clash of legs there as McDermot blocks the low kick. McDermot with a lazy takedown attempt and Fish counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Nice jab there from Fish.

Fish will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McDermot gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Fish feints a jab promting McDermot to slip. Fish then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. McDermot slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
McDermot is rocked! Albert Fish is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McDermot needs to keep his hands up - Fish had a free shot at his head there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Albert Fish showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Fish tries to close the distance and clinch but McDermot swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Fish moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Nice body punch from Fish. Fish misses with a wild combination.

McDermot prevents Fish from getting back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fish has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. McDermot trying to control but Fish is working from the bottom. McDermot pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fish is keeping the position for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McDermot wanted to stand there but Fish had control of the position. Jimmy McDermot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fish wants to get back to his feet but McDermot passes into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Albert Fish comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Fish has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
