Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy Do (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Roc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roc has chosen J-Roc: Trailer Park Life as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Billy Do!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Roc!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Do shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Roc slips a jab from Do.
Roc misses with a straight left.
Roc misses with a lunging right hand
and Do counters with a nice low kick that buckles Roc's knee momentarily.
Roc throws a body punch but Do moves out of range.
Do throws a big shot that misses.
Roc misses with a right hand
and Do counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Roc thinking.
A jab lands there for Roc.
Do tests Roc's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Roc misses with a body shot.

Roc shoots in but Do avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Roc throws a jab but it's blocked by Do.
Do throws a nice inside leg kick.
Roc misses with a body shot.
Roc jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jay Roc seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Do slips a straight right by Roc.
Do steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Roc.
Roc needs to keep his hands up - Do had a free shot at his head there.

Good exchange - Do coming out on top.
Do uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Roc.
Roc lands with a right hand.
Do dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Roc. That did some damage!

The crowd cheers as Roc lands an impressive looking overhand right. Do doesn't seem phased though.
Roc might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Roc misses with a takedown attempt - Do sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Roc tries to score a power double leg takedown but Do sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Roc somewhat.

Do ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Roc moves away.

A looping hook to the body misses from Roc. Do does a little dance to reset his feet.
Do looks to land a right hand but Roc moved out of range.
Roc throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Do counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Do blocks a low kick nicely.

Roc shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Do is wriggling around trying to escape.
Roc tries to control but Do wriggling away.
Roc throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Do because Roc loaded up on that one.
Roc lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Do hang on?

Do slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Do wants to get back to full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Roc not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Roc frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Roc tries to control but Do wriggling away.
Roc has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Roc working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Do slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.

Do tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Roc has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Roc takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The referee warns Do that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's nine minutes gone in the round.
Roc looking to ground and pound but Do is blocking nicely.
Do wants to hold on but Roc pushes him away.
Roc throwing strikes but Do bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top.
Do being controlled here momentarily.

Roc is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Do defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Do in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Roc bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
An inside leg kick lands from Do.
Roc fails with the takedown.
Do misses with a straight right.
Roc shoots in but Do avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Roc scores with a decent looking hook.
Do throws a lazy uppercut

and Roc counters with a takedown into side control.

Roc wants to take a breather but Do is having none of it.
Roc is looking to stall here but Do recovers full guard.

Roc trying to control the position from guard on top but Do is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Roc might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Do kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jay Roc was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Do jerks Roc's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Roc drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Do goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Do because Roc was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 8:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Billy Do!
Billy Do retains his welterweight title!
After the fight, Billy Do was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
