Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Trout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin has chosen Wait and Bleed by Slipknot as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Trout! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shane Griffin! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trout gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Griffin has Trout pressed against the cage.
Griffin is defending well against a takedown attempt. Griffin lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Griffin pressing his opponent against the cage. Trout is looking to control Griffin's arms but Griffin gets an underhook and turns him. Now Trout has his back to the cage. Griffin breaks from the clinch.
Griffin throws a combination. Trout tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Griffin with a hook. Griffin lands a two punch combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Trout walks into a left hand. Trout shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Griffin has his hands clasped together around Trout's back. He's all about the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trout is looking to take a break and control but Griffin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Trout is stalling here. Griffin is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Trout seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Griffin has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Trout sneaks back into half guard. Trout tries to roll over but Griffin keeps him under control. Griffin works his foot free and advances to mount. Griffin controlling the pace for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Trout is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Griffin controlling from the full mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Trout is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Griffin dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Good standup being displayed there by Griffin as he connects with a hook. The crowd cheers as Griffin lands an impressive looking overhand right. Trout doesn't seem phased though. Trout takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A left lands for Griffin. Griffin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Trout has time to react. Trout fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Trout tries to clinch there but Griffin circles away.
Griffin swats away the attempt to clinch by Trout. Trout takes one on the button. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Griffin lands a nice looking body shot.
Griffin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Trout on the side of the head. Griffin scores with a shot to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Griffin lands a lovely overhand right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin drops Trout with a beautiful combination! Trout stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Griffin is looking for the KO!
Trout is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Trout drops his hands momentarily. Griffin doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Trout staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Trout doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Shane Griffin! Shane Griffin is the new super heavyweight champion!
