PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Trout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin has chosen Wait and Bleed by Slipknot as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Trout gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Griffin has Trout pressed against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Trout shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Griffin has his hands clasped together around Trout's back. He's all about the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trout is looking to take a break and control but Griffin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Trout is stalling here. Griffin is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Trout seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Griffin has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Trout sneaks back into half guard.
Trout tries to roll over but Griffin keeps him under control.
Griffin works his foot free and advances to mount.

The crowd cheers as Griffin lands an impressive looking overhand right. Trout doesn't seem phased though.

Griffin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Trout on the side of the head.

Griffin drops Trout with a beautiful combination! Trout stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Griffin is looking for the KO!

Trout drops his hands momentarily. Griffin doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Trout staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Trout doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
