PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Blow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and FireStriker FireBoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Blow might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to rocky . Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blow closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming FireBoy to the mat! FireBoy manages to get full guard.
FireBoy keeping full guard, as Blow tries to pass.
FireBoy controls Blow momentarily but Blow frees himself.
Blow stops FireBoy from standing up.

FireBoy has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Blow off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Blow manages to get an easy takedown there - catching FireBoy on his heels. He'll look to pass FireBoy's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blow trying to control the position from guard on top but FireBoy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

FireBoy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Blow sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

FireBoy is looking to control Blow's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can FireBoy avoid being mounted?
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

FireBoy has one foot on Blow's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Horrible takedown by Blow or perhaps it was just good defense by FireBoy which made him look bad.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

FireStriker FireBoy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

FireBoy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Blow rushes FireBoy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Blow tries to stall but FireBoy uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
FireBoy on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
FireBoy is trying to drag Blow to the mat but Blow just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
FireBoy has Blow pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Blow manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Blow jumps guard but FireBoy stands there with Blow around his waist. Blow gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

FireBoy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blow's guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

FireBoy is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Blow knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Blow for a finish.
