Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Okabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominick Rivaldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rivaldi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Joker's Wild. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivaldi tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Rivaldi is looking to slow Okabe down with leg kicks.
Okabe thuds a left hand into Rivaldi's body.
Rivaldi lands a nice hook to Okabe's body. Okabe takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Okabe shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rivaldi napping and manages to drive through into side control!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Okabe tries to advance to mount but Rivaldi instead regains half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rivaldi looks to land a combination. Okabe sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Rivaldi throws a looping overhand right but Okabe ducks down to avoid it.
A slow jab from Okabe misses its intended target.
Okabe throws a shot from downtown. Rivaldi moves away and avoids it.
That kick from Rivaldi tenderised Okabe's leg. Okabe is trying to keep his angry face on.
Rivaldi lands with a thumping leg kick.
Okabe misses with a hook. Rivaldi ducked under it nicely.
Rivaldi fails to land with a series of punches.
Rivaldi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Okabe closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rivaldi did well to prevent Okabe getting side control.
Rivaldi is looking to control Okabe's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rivaldi avoid being mounted?
The fighters are battling for position here. Rivaldi manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Rivaldi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Okabe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rivaldi wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Okabe's closed guard. He's half up but Okabe has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Okabe pivots and extends the arm, Rivaldi falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Okabe! Well done that man!
