Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Page Dupont!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nike Dallas!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dallas rushes Dupont and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Dallas wants to break free but Dupont has control.

Dallas gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Dupont looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Dallas passes into side control.
Dupont is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dallas's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Dupont is trying to maintain the position but Dallas is very close to passing his half guard.

Dupont looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Dallas trying to control from half guard but Dupont is working away.
Dupont tries to roll over but Dallas keeps him under control.

Dallas looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Dupont is trying to maintain the position but Dallas is very close to passing his half guard.

Dupont moves into full guard.
Dallas trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Dallas avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Dallas wants to control from the top but Dupont keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nike Dallas was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Dallas misses with a head kick.

Dallas moves into the clinch.

Dupont pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Dupont looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Still in half guard, Dupont seems content to control.
Dallas tries to roll over but Dupont keeps him under control.
Dallas keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Dupont content to control rather than advance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dupont thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dallas's head.
Dupont is taking a breather. Dallas says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Page Dupont.
Dallas checks a low kick from Dupont.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dallas drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Dallas looks gassed!
Dupont is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Dupont can't do much from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Page Dupont will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Dupont throws a head kick that misses.
Nike Dallas is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Dallas drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Dupont is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dallas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dupont has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dallas has managed to get both his arms back between Dupont's legs - danger averted.

Dupont working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dallas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dallas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dupont is looking to sinch up a triangle. Dallas throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Dupont's body to avoid the submission. Dupont has instead reached around Dallas's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Dupont arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Page Dupont!
