Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darth Maul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sokure Randall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randall is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: bodies. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randall scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Randall stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Maul to get to his feet.
Maul scores with a body shot.
Randall darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Maul moves into full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Randall stands up from Maul's guard - Randall perhaps looking for a knockout.
Maul tries a head kick but it misses.
Randall has closed the distance and engaged Maul in a clinch.
Randall gets control of Maul's arms and successfully pulls guard. Randall will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Randall is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Maul wants to control from the top but Randall keeps moving.

Maul is breathing heavily.

Randall got a little sloppy there for a moment and Maul has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Randall has managed to get both his arms back between Maul's legs - danger averted.
Randall wants to stand but Maul has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Randall shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Sokure Randall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Maul tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Randall tries to clinch there but Maul circles away.
Randall misses with a jab, cross combination.
Maul shoots in looking for a takedown but Randall manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Maul's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Randall closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Maul did well to prevent Randall getting side control.
Maul is staying active underneath Randall, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Randall wants to stand up but Maul is controlling the position.

Randall thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Maul's head.

Randall sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Randall shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Randall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maul swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Randall decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Maul, up you get!

Maul tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Randall swivels and escapes.
Maul defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Randall.
Maul throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Randall was covering up waiting for the punch and Maul finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Randall is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Randall is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Maul is aware though and is defending well.
Randall isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Maul stacks Randall on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Maul!
Randall seems a little lost for a moment, as Maul dominates the positioning.
Randall tries to improve position but can't.
Maul decides to stand back up.
Maul shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Randall is trying to defend but Maul finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Randall tries to pull guard but Maul won't allow it.

Randall walks into a stiff left hand from Maul.
Maul slaps away a takedown attempt from Randall, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Maul fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Randall to the ground. Maul is now in Randall's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Maul in particular looking to stall.

Randall is looking for a sweep. Maul is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Darth Maul.
I think Maul has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
