The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouth throws a lazy head kick
and Bong counters with a nice double leg into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bong accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bong looking to pass the guard.
Bong is looking to work some ground and pound but Mouth has wrist control.
Bong works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bong trying to control the action but Mouth is working from the bottom.
Bong decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Bong lands with a nice body kick.

Mouth throws a leg kick that is checked
and Bong counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mouth won't be happy with that.
Mouth prevents Bong from moving into mount.
Bong decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Bong scores with a head kick.
Bong tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bong has picked Mouth up - he's going for a ride! Bong dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bong trying to control from Mouth's half guard. Mouth has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Bong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We're going to have a standup here because Chanandeler Bong wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Mouth throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Bong closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Mouth has had enough of the clinch but Bong keeps him there for the moment.
Bong prevents Mouth from breaking the clinch.

Mouth throws a low kick but Bong avoids it.

Smash Mouth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bong rushes Mouth and presses him up against the cage.
Bong manages to break the clinch.
Mouth moves away from the strike by Bong.
Bong shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bong was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Mouth wants to hold on but Bong pushes him away.

Bong throwing strikes here but Mouth is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Bong tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Mouth tries to reverse the position but Bong maintains control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bong looking to control but Mouth is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Bong turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Mouth gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mouth is looking to stand up but Bong isn't so interested in that idea.

Chanandeler Bong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mouth attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

and Bong counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mouth!
Chanandeler Bong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mouth avoids a series of strikes thrown by Bong.

Mouth wants to control but Bong is having none of it.
Mouth is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Bong has taken his back!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Mouth tries to sprawl but Bong drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Bong is just content to waste time from the top position. Mouth takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Mouth throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Bong closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mouth quickly recovers to half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bong uses his free foot to push down on Mouth's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mouth.
Bong throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Mouth tries to lock up and control but Bong gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Smash Mouth has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Mouth is trying desperately to improve position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mouth throws a sloppy head kick
and Bong counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mouth's guard now.
Mouth working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mouth is tightening it up a little... Bong has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bong reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bong taps out! Nice BJJ there by Mouth!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Smash Mouth!
Smash Mouth decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
