Robles comes to the cage accompanied by Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Theme Song. Aj Robles has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robles shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Chavez sprawls well. Chavez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Robles gets slowly back to his feet.
Chavez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Robles thows a body shot but no joy.
Chavez tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Robles decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chavez's guard.

Chavez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Robles is controlling him.

Robles drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Robles jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Chavez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Well, if Chavez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
It looks like Chavez might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Chavez looks to land a combination. Robles sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Robles gets tackled into the cage by Chavez. Chavez maintains the clinch.

Chavez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chavez stalks Robles and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Robles's face. Robles staggers backwards, shaken.

Chavez lands with a nice combination. Robles backs away looking to recover.
A decent looking cross lands there for Chavez.
Chavez tries to clinch there but Robles circles away.
Chavez looks to land a combination but Robles avoids it well.
Chavez feints and as Robles raises his hands in defense, Chavez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Chavez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Junior Chavez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Robles seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chavez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Aj Robles just wasn't active enough.
Robles changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chavez tries to avoid it but Robles manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chavez to the ground. Chavez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Chavez lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Robles walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Robles takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chavez lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Chavez.
Robles shoots in looking for a takedown but Chavez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Robles's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
