Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raoul Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Layfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duke kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bat Country - Avenge Sevenfold. John Layfield acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Layfield avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Duke looks to land a right hand but Layfield moved out of range. Duke falls off balance throwing a combination
and Layfield counters with a nice body shot. Layfield steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Duke. Layfield moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Layfield avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Raoul Duke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Duke misses with a hook
and Layfield makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Duke is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Duke doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Duke swings and misses with a shot to the body and Layfield counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Layfield scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Duke doesn't seem bothered though.

Duke moves forwards but Layfield connects with a nice, crisp jab. Duke tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Layfield manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Layfield throws a right hand that Duke ducks under and follows up with a left that Duke also avoids with ease. The fight stays on the outside here - Duke looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
