The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Cakirca or perhaps it was just good defense by Farrelly which made him look bad.
Cakirca tries to clinch up.
Farrelly moves into range and connects with a jab.


It looks like Timur Cakirca has been cut.
Cakirca shoots in looking for a takedown but Farrelly manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cakirca's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Farrelly shoots for a double leg takedown but Cakirca sprawls well. He's pushed Farrelly's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Farrelly throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cakirca tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Farrelly manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Cakirca shoots in for a takedown but Farrelly shows good takedown defense.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Farrelly moves into the clinch successfully.
Farrelly tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cakirca just stands there and leans against the cage.
Farrelly tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cakirca smiles and moves away.
Farrelly wants to clinch.

Farrelly throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Farrelly swats away the attempt to clinch by Cakirca.
Cakirca defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Farrelly.
Farrelly tries to clinch there but Cakirca circles away.
Farrelly shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cakirca eats them both and turns towards Farrelly to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Farrelly will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Farrelly with the ground and pound but Cakirca uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Farrelly would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Farrelly working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cakirca's head.

Farrelly has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cakirca is proving hard to escape from.
