Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thaigo Leites (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JD Irons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, JD Irons! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leites fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Leites fails with a takedown attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Leites. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thaigo Leites. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Irons keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Leites will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Leites fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Leites darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Leites wants to free his trapped foot but Irons is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leites wants to lay and pray for a moment but Irons keeps working. Irons is defending against the submission attempts here by Leites.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Leites tries to pass to full mount but Irons defends it. Leites seems to be working for a kimura but Irons defends the submission attempt. Leites works his way into side control. Leites tries for a kimura but Irons is defending well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Leites moves into full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horrible takedown by Leites or perhaps it was just good defense by Irons which made him look bad. Leites misses with a takedown attempt - Irons sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leites shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Irons pinned against the cage. Irons gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Leites drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leites drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Leites jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Leites drops back looking for a leg! Irons is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Irons manages to kick Leites off! Leites jumps back into Irons's guard. Leites drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Leites jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Thaigo Leites will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Leites looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Irons is fending him off so far but Leites persists. Nope, Irons circles away and we're back to standing. Leites shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Leites was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Leites tries to control but Irons wriggling away. Irons is trying desperately to improve position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leites is working for a guillotine from mount but Irons frees his head quite easily.
Irons prevents Leites from taking his back. Leites can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Irons is looking to escape. Poor strikes thrown by Leites there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Leites is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Irons defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Irons controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Leites is persistently looking for the submission but Irons is defending it well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Leites punches the canvas rather than the man. Leites is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Irons knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Irons for a finish. Leites working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Will Leites go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leites looking for the choke but no joy. Irons tries to break free.
Leites tries to get the hooks in deep but Irons pushed the leg off. Leites has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A lull in the action here.
JD Irons has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Leites is looking for the choke from the back position but Irons is controlling his hands well. Irons is trying to get back to his feet but Leites has full control of the position and if anything, Irons has just worked his way into a worse spot.
And that's the end of the fight! Thaigo Leites showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Leites, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
