The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carmona shoots in and gets a takedown into Carter's guard.
Carmona tries to free his leg and advance position but Carter is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carmona is working hard here to advance position.
Carmona slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Carmona advances to full mount.
Carter is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Carmona is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Carter has managed to escape the submission attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Carmona can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Carter is looking to escape.
Carter tries to lock up and control but Carmona gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Carmona lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Carmona has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Carmona tries to control but Carter wriggling away.
Carmona is working for a guillotine from mount but Carter frees his head quite easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Carmona is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Carter to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Carter shrugs it off.

Carter takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Carmona wants to control the pace but Carter is squirming around nicely.
Carmona connects with a bit shot that sees Carter covering up! More strikes from Carmona and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Carmona is our winner by TKO!
