The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovrov jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kovrov lands a glancing blow to the side of Oven's head.
Alexsandr Kovrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kovrov throws a right hand that Oven ducks under and follows up with a left that Oven also avoids with ease.
Oven takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Oven misses with a looping left.
Kovrov throws a lazy head kick
and Oven counters with a nice uppercut.
Kovrov connects with a body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Oven throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Oven displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kovrov throws out the jab.
Oven throws a leg kick but Kovrov checks it.
Kovrov checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Kovrov throws a head kick but Oven moves out of range.

Oven misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Kovrov lands a left and a right that send Oven crashing to the mat, dazed. Kovrov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Oven is rocked!
Kovrov throws a series of punches but Oven avoids them all with ease.
Oven is still on wobbly legs! Can Kovrov finish him?
Oven moves out of range as Kovrov throws a body kick.
Kovrov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kovrov misses with a wild combination.

Oven misses with a wild body shot.
Kovrov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Oven circles away quickly and effectively.
Oven seems to have recovered his senses.
Oven swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Oven takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Oven scores with a nice right hand.
Oven moves away from the strike by Kovrov.
Oven is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Kovrov moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
