Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raymund Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Owen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee's entrance music is Love and Devotion. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Owen's choice of entrance music: M.O.P. - Ante Up. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Raymund Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick Owen! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee leaves Owen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lee lands with a kick to the temple. Owen shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Patrick Owen has been cut. Lee circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lee cracks the inside of Owen's front leg. Lee bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Horrible takedown by Owen or perhaps it was just good defense by Lee which made him look bad. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Lee - that will leave a mark!
Owen looks gassed! Owen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lee but Lee pushes him off and we're back to square one. Raymund Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrick Owen. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lee lands a head kick!
Lee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Owen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Lee throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Lee scores with a kick to the midsection. Raymund Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lee lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Owen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lee. Lee lands with a cross. Lee throws a nice head kick!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A good leg kick by Lee. Lee scores with a three punch combo!
Lee lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. An inside leg kick lands from Lee. Lee connects with an inside leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Owen takes a shot right to the bread basket. Lee connects with a right hand. Owen shakes it off. Lee scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Lee is looking to slow Owen down with leg kicks. Lee throws a nice head kick!
That kick from Lee tenderised Owen's leg. Owen is trying to keep his angry face on. Owen's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Lee lands with a right hand. A solid leg kick lands there for Lee.
Both fighters circling a little - Lee finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Lee thuds a left hand into Owen's body. Lee lands with a thumping leg kick.
Lee feints a jab promting Owen to slip. Lee then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Owen slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee moves into range and connects with a jab.
Owen is rocked!
That has opened up Patrick Owen's cut even more. Lee lands a nice looking body kick. Owen is still on wobbly legs! Can Lee finish him? Lee throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Owen's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Lee dives in looking to finish as Owen flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Lee's strikes! Lee is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Owen's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Owen was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raymund Lee! Raymund Lee very nearly forgot to thank 1337 ANZAC amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
