Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Pynchon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Two Quitter! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quitter darts in trying to clinch and Pynchon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Quitter's guard. Pynchon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Pynchon's corner is telling him to maintain position. Quitter preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Quitter can do anything to dispel that myth. Pynchon trying to control but Quitter is working from the bottom. Pynchon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Quitter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pynchon. Quitter can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pynchon controls the pace. Pynchon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Thomas Pynchon. Quitter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Two Quitter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Quitter works over Pynchon's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Thomas Pynchon has been cut. Pynchon misses with a body shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pynchon tries to move into range but Quitter moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quitter lands a lovely overhand right. Quitter throws a lazy right hand but Pynchon sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Pynchon fails to land with a series of punches.
Quitter misses with a two punch combination.

Thomas Pynchon's cut is getting worse. Two Quitter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Quitter throws a nice looking combination but Pynchon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pynchon ducks under a wild hook from Quitter. Pynchon throws a hook but Quitter blocks it. Quitter throws a jab when Pynchon was well out of range. Sloppy strikes from Quitter. Those never looked like landing. Pynchon shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Quitter misses with a wild combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quitter fails to land with a series of punches.
Pynchon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pynchon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Pynchon is looking to work some ground and pound but Quitter has wrist control. Quitter controls Pynchon momentarily but Pynchon frees himself. Pynchon scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Pynchon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Quitter's head. Pynchon throws a big right hand that misses. Pynchon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Quitter works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pynchon throws a big right hand that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quitter keeping moving, preventing Pynchon from controlling successfully. This has been an exciting period of action! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pynchon's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Pynchon throws a big right hand that misses. Pynchon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Pynchon cracks Quitter with a solid left hand. Pynchon sitting in guard, not really doing much. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Quitter avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Thomas Pynchon will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Thomas Pynchon's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Pynchon fails with a takedown attempt. Quitter moves to clinch but Pynchon breaks away and Pynchon counters with a takedown into side control. Pynchon looks up at the clock and then as Quitter takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Pynchon smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Pynchon looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Quitter is avoiding damage well.
Pynchon landing strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pynchon is staying tight to Quitter's torso, preventing him from escaping. Pynchon landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Pynchon creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Quitter sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Pynchon lands an elbow. Quitter managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Pynchon.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pynchon lands a strong strike to the head of Quitter. That's dazed him! Pynchon looking to finish here. Quitter is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Pynchon lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thomas Pynchon!
