Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jamaal McClellan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ron Sparks! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McClellan takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Sparks sizes up McClellan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. A jab from McClellan misses. McClellan avoids a punch combination nicely.

Sparks has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from McClellan. Sparks lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! No joy there for McClellan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ron Sparks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McClellan is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Sparks misses with a body shot.
Sparks throws a right and a left that McClellan avoids nicely. Sparks showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McClellan.
Sparks is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McClellan's half guard. Sparks works his way into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sparks tries to advance to mount but can't. Sparks swings around for an armbar but McClellan sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Sparks's guard. Sparks throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sparks is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. McClellan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sparks is keeping the position for now. McClellan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sparks is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McClellan is aware though and is defending well. Sparks has his foot on McClellan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McClellan works his way back into a safe position though. Sparks is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McClellan is aware though and is defending well. McClellan is fighting to break Sparks's control of his arms but Sparks is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. McClellan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sparks bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McClellan's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sparks trying to control the position from guard on top but McClellan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sparks missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. McClellan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jamaal McClellan wasn't doing enough on the ground. Sparks throws a combination that misses and McClellan counters with a straight right hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McClellan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Sparks bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sparks shoots in looking for a takedown but McClellan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sparks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ron Sparks dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Sparks lands a jab-cross combination. McClellan connects with a leg kick. Sparks looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Jamaal McClellan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A jab-cross combination lands for Sparks and sends McClellan crashing to the mat! Sparks follows him down to the mat - McClellan regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
McClellan is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Still in half guard, Sparks seems content to control. Oh McClellan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Sparks lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt McClellan quite badly. McClellan pulls Sparks in close trying to recover. Sparks postures up and lands two really hard shots that put McClellan on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but McClellan doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ron Sparks!
