Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Haggen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephan Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim has chosen Modestep - Feel good as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Stephan Kim enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lou Haggen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stephan Kim!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haggen shoots for a double leg takedown but Kim sprawls well. He's pushed Haggen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Haggen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kim.
Nice sprawl there from Haggen as Kim shoots in.
Horrible takedown by Haggen or perhaps it was just good defense by Kim which made him look bad.

Kim tries to keep at a distance but Haggen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Haggen lands a hook that snaps the head of Kim backwards.
Kim lands a right hand.
Haggen has had enough of the clinch but Kim keeps him there for the moment.
Kim tries to pull guard but Haggen holds him up against the cage and eventually Kim drops back down to his feet.
Lou Haggen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stephan Kim.

Kim tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Haggen swivels and escapes.
Haggen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kim sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Haggen somewhat.

Haggen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kim did well to prevent Haggen getting side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Haggen is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Haggen is working for a kimura but Kim is defending it quite comfortably.
Haggen content to control rather than advance.

Haggen thows a huge punch but Kim dodges it nicely.
Haggen wants to take a breather but Kim is having none of it.

Haggen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kim wants to control but Haggen is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Haggen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kim tries to avoid it but Haggen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kim to the ground. Kim escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kim keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Haggen's efforts to push away.
Haggen wants to get back to striking at distance but Kim won't allow it.
Haggen lands a hook that snaps the head of Kim backwards.
Haggen wants to break free but Kim has control.
Haggen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Haggen is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kim gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Haggen is looking to break free of the clinch but Kim has double underhooks.

Haggen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Haggen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Haggen drives through and clinches with Kim against the cage.
Kim tries to pull guard but Haggen won't allow it.
Kim jumps guard but Haggen turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
A short body shot lands from Haggen as the two fighters clinch.
Haggen is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Lou Haggen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stephan Kim.

Haggen is trying to break the clinch but Kim is controlling him.

Haggen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Haggen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Haggen is looking to stand up but Kim isn't so interested in that idea.

Haggen uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kim takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Haggen has closed the distance and engaged Kim in a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Haggen tries to break the clinch but Kim is controlling the position.

Haggen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

and Haggen counters with a straight right hand.

Kim wants to take the fight to the mat but Haggen manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kim wants to take the fight to the mat but Haggen manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

That's time! Haggen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Haggen shoots in and bounces Kim off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Kim being controlled here, momentarily.
Haggen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kim really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haggen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Haggen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kim swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lou Haggen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Haggen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kim takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Haggen pushes down on Kim's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Haggen not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Haggen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kim's head.
Haggen is taking a breather. Kim says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Haggen uses his free foot to push down on Kim's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kim.

Haggen has control of Kim's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kim regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Lou Haggen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Haggen has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
