Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luke Breja! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Neo Angin! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Breja fails with an attempt to clinch.
Angin fails with the takedown. Luke Breja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Angin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Angin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Breja tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Angin is in Breja's guard. Angin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Angin stands up and waves to Breja to follow him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Angin lands a head kick. Breja smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Breja slaps away a takedown attempt from Angin, before circling back to the center of the mat. Breja lands a glancing blow to the side of Angin's head. Angin closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Breja's guard. Angin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Breja tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Angin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Neo Angin has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Angin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Breja avoids it really well and circles away. Luke Breja has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Neo Angin. Breja feints and then cracks Angin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Angin down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Breja tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Angin counters with a body kick that stops Breja in his tracks momentarily. Breja thumps Angin with a low kick. Angin keeps the fight on the outside. A decent looking cross lands there for Breja. Breja jabs Angin to the body, keeping him at a distance. Angin looks gassed! Angin drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Breja tries to clinch but Angin moves out of range. Breja dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Angin. That did some damage!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Danga de danga de dang - Breja scores with a four punch combination! Angin has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Breja. Angin swats away the attempt to clinch by Breja. Breja fails in his attempt to clinch. Breja lands a jab. Angin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Breja tries to avoid it but Angin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Breja to the ground. Breja escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Breja with a body punch. A glancing blow. Breja tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Angin paws at him with a jab and circles away. Breja moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke Breja dominated that round. That's time! Breja's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Breja tries to clinch but Angin is having none of it. Breja fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Breja cracks Angin with an open hand slap. Breja lands with a thumping leg kick.
Breja feints and then cracks Angin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Angin down. Breja tests Angin's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Angin is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Breja! Angin is out on his feet! Breja rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Angin is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Angin is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luke Breja! Luke Breja was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
