The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smoke darts in trying to clinch
and Groven counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Smoke is trying to stand back up but Groven is controlling him
Groven scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Groven is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Groven sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Groven frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Groven trying to control but Smoke is having none of it.
Smoke really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Smoke tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Groven lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Smoke tries to hold on but Groven pushes him away.
Groven wants to control the pace but Smoke is squirming around nicely.
Smoke manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Groven is thwarting Smoke's attempts to control the position.
Smoke is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Groven is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Smoke defends it well.
Groven slips a nice elbow through Smoke's hands, connecting with Smoke's forehead.

Groven postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Smoke bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Groven and the fight is over!
