Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenjiro Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chicharito Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kenjiro Chiba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chicharito Velasquez! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velasquez closes the distance and clinches up with Chiba, looking for a takedown. Velasquez pushes Chiba against the cage but Chiba circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Chiba throws a sloppy head kick and Velasquez moves out of range easily. Velasquez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Chiba sprawls well. Chiba wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Velasquez gets slowly back to his feet. Chiba misses with a head kick.
Velasquez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chiba is fending him off so far but Velasquez persists. Nope, Chiba circles away and we're back to standing. Velasquez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Chiba's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Velasquez trying to control but Chiba is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Velasquez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Velasquez postures up in Chiba's guard and throws a big left but Chiba blocks it. Velasquez slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Velasquez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Velasquez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Chiba has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Velasquez has a closed guard, preventing Chiba from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Chicharito Velasquez has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! No luck with that takedown attempt from Velasquez. Velasquez is still on wobbly legs! Can Chiba finish him? Chiba seems to be stalking Velasquez here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Velasquez drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
