And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Some wild striking there from Sparza.
Brown connects with a crisp jab.
Brown throws out a loose jab but Sparza uses good head movement to avoid it.
Good work by Sparza as he checks the leg kick.
Sparza takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Brown cracks Sparza with an open hand slap.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brown is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sparza.

Brown walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sparza checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Randel Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sparza has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sparza there as he acknowledges the shot.
Sparza closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brown did well to prevent Sparza getting side control.

Sparza feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
