Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axel Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Choke - Hybrid (feat. John Graham). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Reis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Axel Rose! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reis misses with a hook. Reis looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rose! Reis working away from the top, dropping strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rose working to try and regain half guard.
Reis looking for a guillotine from mount but Rose is having none of it. Reis throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Rose can't escape the position.
Reis lands a heavy elbow. Reis with shots to the head and body - Rose looks very uncomfortable down there. Reis jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Rose is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rose and Reis has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
You can see the frustration on Rose's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Reis is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rose has escaped the position, nice work there. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's one minute gone in the round. Reis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rose knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Reis taking a breather here. Reis tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Rose is trying to control Reis's posture but Reis avoids it. Reis is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rose is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rose gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Reis is breathing heavily. Reis pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Rose bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Rose passes easily into side control. Nice work. Rose trying to control the action but Reis is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reis manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rose's best efforts. Rose is thwarting Reis's attempts to control the position. Reis looking for subs from the bottom but Rose mounts him! Reis is working to get back to half guard.
Rose trying to control but he's not successful this time. Reis tries to hold on but Rose pushes him away. Rose is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Reis has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Reis is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rose looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Rose trying to control but Reis is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reis is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rose working for a submission but Reis is keeping him at bay. Reis is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thiago Reis dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Rose wants to clinch. Reis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Reis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rose circles away. No luck for Reis with that takedown attempt. Reis shoots in and bounces Rose off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Rose not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rose had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Reis is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rose Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Reis's back instead. Rose is trying to stick to Reis's back but Reis is turning into Rose. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Rose's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Reis. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Rose keeping moving, preventing Reis from controlling successfully. Reis in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Reis trying to control but Rose is working from the bottom. Reis preventing the sweep.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rose doesn't manage to clinch there - Reis circles away.
Reis wants to clinch up but Rose keeps it at a distance. Axel Rose is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Reis keeps the fight on the outside. Reis rushes Rose and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Reis is looking to control Rose's arms but Rose gets an underhook and turns him. Now Reis has his back to the cage. Reis tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thiago Reis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rose unloads a knee to the mid-section. Reis lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Reis tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Reis takes an elbow to the temple. Reis tries for a takedown but Rose manages to get underhooks.
Rose comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. A bit of stalling here from Rose.
Reis has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Rose regains guard immediately. Reis pushes down on Rose's leg and manages to get into half guard. Reis seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Rose is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Thiago Reis!
