Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Amidal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffery Shannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Amidal might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Act Like You Know. Shannon has chosen Don't Tread On Me - Metallica as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joey Amidal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeffery Shannon!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shannon tries to clinch but Amidal is having none of it.
Shannon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Amidal swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Shannon wants to clinch.
Amidal thows a leg kick but Shannon checks it
and Shannon counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Amidal lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Shannon has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Shannon and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Shannon lands a left and a right that send Amidal crashing to the mat, dazed. Shannon thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Amidal is rocked!
It looks like Joey Amidal has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Amidal works over Shannon's head and body with a nice combination.
Oh Amidal is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Amidal blocks a head kick by Shannon.

Shannon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Amidal swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Some bone on bone action there as Shannon checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Shannon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Amidal manages to avoid it.
Shannon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Amidal.

Jeffery Shannon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Amidal. Shannon does a little dance to reset his feet.
Shannon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Amidal connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Shannon's hands.
Shannon looks to land a body kick but Amidal moved away.
Amidal dodges the punch combination from Shannon.

Shannon with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Amidal to score with a decent uppercut.

Shannon takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Amidal is looking to wear down Shannon with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Amidal throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shannon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Shannon tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Amidal counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Shannon off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Amidal follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Shannon was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Joey Amidal!
Post fight, an emotional Joey Amidal said 'I don\'t wanna see another BJJ specialist if it isn't Castrello, let me test my hands.'.
