Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcelo Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eddie Seng! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Eddie Seng seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed right hand from Santos misses the target. Santos uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Seng. A right-left combo lands from Seng. Seng moves into the clinch. Seng is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Seng gets through Santos's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Seng lands an elbow inside that Santos shrugs off.
It looks like Marcelo Santos has been cut. Seng unloads a knee to the mid-section. Santos is looking for a takedown. Santos goes for a takedown attempt but Seng pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Seng moves in looking to clinch but Santos pushes him off. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nice takedown defense from Seng. No joy for Santos on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcelo Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Santos misses with a takedown attempt and Seng counters by clinching up. Santos has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Seng after a bit of a struggle. Seng lands a knee to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos is working for takedown but Seng is calmly controlling the position for now. Santos is breathing heavily. Seng utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Seng with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Seng comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Seng stalling against the cage.

Santos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Seng walks away with a smile on his face. Santos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Santos tries to keep at a distance but Seng has taken the fight into the clinch. Seng prevents the takedown attempt.

Marcelo Santos's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Seng comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Seng lands a nice elbow. Santos is trying to drag Seng to the mat but Seng just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Still in the clinch, Seng scores with a nice short uppercut. Santos has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Seng after a bit of a struggle. Seng lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Santos. Seng creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Santos's defenses.
Jeez, Marcelo Santos's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Seng is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Seng lands an uppercut. Santos takes an elbow to the temple. Seng lands an elbow that stopped Santos in his tracks for a moment. Seng working Santos over with knees to the body. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Seng creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Seng using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Eddie Seng! Eddie Seng decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
