Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jiro Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jake Heke!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heke moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Heke lands with a kick to the temple. Kane shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Heke moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Heke swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kane tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kane lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Heke is rocked!
Kane tries to clinch up but Heke circles away and keeps his distance.
Kane is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Heke is still on wobbly legs! Can Kane finish him?
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Kane moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Heke! Kane continues to tee off on Heke, landing with a left and a right! Kane connects with a right hand that leaves Heke sleeping against the ropes! What a finish by Kane!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jiro Kane!
Our winner, Jiro Kane, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
