Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jalen Reis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brian Redban! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Redban circles away. Reis shoots in for a takedown but Redban shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Redban scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Jalen Reis has been cut. A punch combination from Redban misses. Redban throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Reis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Redban fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Redban lands a really nice looking cross but Reis seems unphased.
Reis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Redban counters with a three punch combo that has Reis backing up. Reis nods at Redban to acknowledge the strikes.
Reis is rocked! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jalen Reis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice takedown defense from Redban. No joy for Reis on that attempt. Oh Reis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Reis is breathing heavily. Redban catches Reis with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Reis forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Brian Redban! After winning the bout, Brian Redban thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
