Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Texas Trash!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trash connects with a crisp jab.
Malapitan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Malapitan takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Trash swings away with a body shot that misses

and Malapitan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Trash is staying active underneath Malapitan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Malapitan is taking a breather. Trash says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Trash is refusing to be controlled, as Malapitan sits in half guard.

Malapitan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Trash is staying active underneath Malapitan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Malapitan throwing shots but Trash is blocking nicely.
Trash pushes Malapitan off looking to stand but Malapitan dives back in and keeps control.
Malapitan wants to pass the guard but Trash is defending well.
Malapitan is trying to control. Trash wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Malapitan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Malapitan is stalling here. Trash is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Malapitan seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Trash has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Trash really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Malapitan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Trash wants to stand but Malapitan is controlling his arm.
Malapitan tries to bench press Trash off him but Trash keeps the position.
Malapitan trying to remain calm as Trash controls from the top position.
Malapitan tries to improve position but can't.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Texas Trash wasn't active enough on the ground.
Trash's corner calls for a 1-2. Trash obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Trash ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Malapitan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Trash.

Trash throws a right hand that misses

and Malapitan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Trash's guard.
Malapitan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Malapitan lands a couple of elbows.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Trash seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Trash has a closed guard, preventing Malapitan from standing up.
Malapitan advances to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Malapitan is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Malapitan is keen to just control but Trash is a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Trash misses with a lunging right hand

and Malapitan counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Trash's guard now.
Trash keeping moving, preventing Malapitan from controlling successfully.
Malapitan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Malapitan wants to pass the guard but Trash is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Malapitan is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Trash is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Trash has escaped and now he's on top!
Trash tries to stand but Malapitan is controlling from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Raje Malapitan just wasn't active enough.
Trash dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Malapitan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Trash misses with a looping left.
A big right from Trash misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Malapitan fails with the takedown
and Trash counters with a stiff right hand.
Donk. Trash catches Malapitan right on the button with a cross.
Trash misses with a straight left.
Malapitan shoots for a double leg takedown but Trash sprawls well. He's pushed Malapitan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Trash lands a right hook to the body.
Trash lands with a straight right. Malapitan didn't see that one coming.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Trash misses with a hook.
Trash connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Malapitan momentarily.
Trash lands with a shot to the body.
Malapitan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Trash sprawls well. Trash wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Malapitan gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raje Malapitan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trash thuds a left hand into Malapitan's body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Trash slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.


Malapitan is rocked!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Trash engages and cracks Malapitan with a massive lead left hook - Malapitan tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Trash is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Texas Trash!
