Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Pribko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iain Durrant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Iain Durrant is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ivan Pribko!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Iain Durrant!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Pribko darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Pribko misses the shot to the body.
Durrant looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pribko is fending him off so far but Durrant persists. Nope, Pribko circles away and we're back to standing.
Durrant avoids a punch combination nicely.
An inside leg kick from Pribko misses.
A combination from Pribko does no damage.
Pribko throws a poor cross that misses
and Durrant connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Durrant throws a right and a left that both miss.
Pribko lands a right hook to the body.
Durrant is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Pribko cracks Durrant with a good jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pribko thuds a left hand into Durrant's body.
Pribko misses with an uppercut
letting Durrant counter with a right hand.

Durrant is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pribko's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Durrant looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Pribko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Durrant is working away from the top position though.
Durrant not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Durrant is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Durrant is looking for a kimura here.
Pribko holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Pribko is trying to get back to full guard.
Pribko slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Pribko wants to sweep here but Durrant controlling him for the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pribko has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Durrant trying to control the position from guard on top but Pribko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pribko trying to keep a closed guard but Durrant is proving a slippery customer.
Durrantis looking to pass into half guard but Pribko pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Pribko is in guard.

Durrant working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pribko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pribko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pribko looking to sit in guard and control but Durrant gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Durrant pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pribko is keeping the position for now.
Durrantis looking to pass into half guard but Pribko pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Pribko is in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Durrant isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Pribko stacks Durrant on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Pribko!
Durrant is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ivan Pribko will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Durrant fails to land the takedown.
Ivan Pribko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Durrant throws a right hand that Pribko ducks under and follows up with a left that Pribko also avoids with ease.
Durrant tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pribko swivels and escapes.
A jab from Pribko does it's job there.
Pribko tries to clinch but Durrant moves out of range.
Durrant throws a sloppy head kick and Pribko moves out of range easily.
Pribko connects with a jab.
Pribko swings for the body but Durrant moves out of range.
Pribko scores with a nice right hand.
Pribko is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pribko throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Pribko throws a chopping leg kick but Durrant manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Pribko lands a nice shot that snaps Durrant's head back.
Durrant has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Durrant there as he acknowledges the shot.


Durrant is rocked!
Ivan Pribko is winning the standup battle so far.
Pribko throws a looping overhand right but Durrant ducks down to avoid it.
Pribko thuds his shin into the meat of Durrant's side.
Pribko fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pribko slips a straight right by Durrant.
Durrant has his takedown stuffed
and Pribko counters with a straight right hand.
Ivan Pribko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Iain Durrant.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Durrant is defended easily by Pribko.
Pribko throws out a powerful jab.
Durrant is still on wobbly legs! Can Pribko finish him?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pribko drops Durrant with a straight right hand, right on the button! Pribko follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivan Pribko!
