Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bj Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Fierro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bj Ferguson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luis Fierro!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fierro sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ferguson somewhat.
Fierro tries to score with a low kick but Ferguson moves his leg out of the way.
Ferguson looks to clinch
and Fierro counters with a nice uppercut.
Ferguson needs to keep his hands up - Fierro had a free shot at his head there.

Fierro shoots in and bounces Ferguson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fierro slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ferguson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Fierro tries to hold on but Ferguson pushes him away.

Ferguson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Fierro because Ferguson loaded up on that one.

Ferguson thowing shots but they're missing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ferguson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Ferguson avoids the attempt from Fierro to control.
Ferguson wants to control the pace but Fierro is squirming around nicely.

Fierro seems to have recovered his senses.
Fierro is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fierro is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bj Ferguson dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ferguson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Ferguson blocks a head kick by Fierro.
Fierro has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ferguson.
Ferguson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fierro but Fierro pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fierro darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Fierro is looking to chop away at Ferguson's legs.
Bj Ferguson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Fierro counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Fierro fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ferguson checks it well.
Fierro shoots in and drives through. Ferguson sprawls well.

and Fierro counters with a straight right hand.
Ferguson wants to clinch but Fierro slips to the side

and Fierro counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fierro.

Fierro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fierro throws a leg kick but Ferguson checks it.
Ferguson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fierro works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fierro is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Fierro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ferguson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fierro tries to free his leg and advance position but Ferguson is retaining full guard.
Fierro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ferguson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ferguson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Ferguson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fierro is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

We're going to have a standup here because Bj Ferguson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Donk. Fierro catches Ferguson right on the button with a cross.

Fierro misses with a low kick as Ferguson jumps back.
Fierro throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ferguson on the side of the head.
Fierro lands a slapping body shot.
Fierro uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ferguson has time to react.
Fierro throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Fierro throws a head kick but Ferguson moves out of range.

Fierro moves into the clinch.
Fierro stalls.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fierro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luis Fierro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Left hook, right uppercut from Fierro.
Some wild striking there from Ferguson.
Ferguson shoots in for a double leg but Fierro sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ferguson shoots in looking for a takedown but Fierro manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ferguson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Danga de danga de dang - Fierro scores with a four punch combination!
Fierro lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Fierro looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ferguson!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fierro tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Fierro has control of Ferguson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ferguson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Fierro wants to take his opponent's back but Ferguson doesn't allow it.
Ferguson is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Fierro has taken his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
What can Ferguson do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Ferguson breaks Fierro's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Ferguson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Luis Fierro hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Ferguson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fierro to score with a decent uppercut.
Luis Fierro seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Fierro forces Ferguson back against the cage and clinches.
Ferguson wants to break free but Fierro has control.

Fierro breaks from the clinch.
Fierro scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Ferguson stuffs the takedown attempt from Fierro. Fierro gets slowly back to his feet.
Fierro works over Ferguson's head and body with a nice combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ferguson fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bj Ferguson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fierro.
Fierro is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Fierro changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ferguson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Fierro stands up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fierro shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fierro showed some decent athleticism there.

And that's the end of the fight!
Luis Fierro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Fierro has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
