Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spete Pasanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coleman's entrance music is Got Money. A fine choice. Pasanen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rolling Stones - Paint it black kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 22 - 3, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Spete Pasanen!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Coleman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Spete Pasanen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pasanen swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Coleman.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Coleman checks a leg kick.

Coleman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Pasanen is trying to improve his position.
An elbow from Coleman crashes against the mat.
Pasanen controls the position for a moment.
Pasanen wants to control but Coleman postures up.
Pasanen is trying to get back to his feet.
Pasanen dodges the ground and pound from Coleman.
Pasanen is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Coleman lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Coleman landing a few strikes.
Coleman postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Coleman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Coleman tries to advance to mount but Pasanen denies him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Coleman landing a few strikes.
Coleman throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Pasanen works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Pasanen is looking to improve his position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Coleman seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Pasanen is trying to control but can't.
Pasanen moves into full guard.
Coleman lands a couple of elbows.

Coleman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Coleman is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Pasanen looking for a sweep. Not yet Pasanen, not yet.
Coleman prevents Pasanen from getting back to his feet.
Coleman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pasanen's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pasanen is trying to maintain the position but Coleman is very close to passing his half guard.

Coleman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pasanen defends it well.
Pasanen is looking to control Coleman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pasanen avoid being mounted?
Coleman takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Coleman stops Pasanen from getting back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Coleman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Coleman missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Coleman landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Coleman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Pasanen won't allow Coleman to pass to mount.
Pasanen gets back to full guard.
Coleman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Coleman lands a couple of digs.
Coleman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Coleman working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pasanen's head.


Pasanen is rocked!
Coleman slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Pasanen is still in real trouble! Can Coleman finish him?
Coleman in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Pasanen looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Coleman turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Coleman!
