Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arlan Maylan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Arlan Maylan has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Arlan Maylan seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Maylan misses with a double jab.
Maylan shoots and misses
and Steele counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Maylan!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Steele is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Maylan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

so Steele counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Steele has gone for a leg lock! Maylan slips out almost immediately though and dives into Steele's guard.
Steele working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Maylan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Maylan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Steele has his feet on Maylan's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Steele is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Maylan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Steele wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Maylan, who protects the arm well.

Maylan is in a bad position with Steele working for a choke. Maylan manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

Steele is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Maylan misses with some punches.
Steele is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Maylan can't fight it off and eventually Steele manages to take the fight to the floor. Maylan looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Maylan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Steele defends it easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Steele is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maylan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyrone Steele showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Maylan shoots in looking for a takedown. Steele tries to sprawl out of it but Maylan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Steele manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A combination from Maylan does no damage.
Steele moves in looking to clinch but Maylan pushes him off.

Steele is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Maylan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Steele connects with a nice short shot to Maylan's temple.
