The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Big is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Big closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Big is working for a kimura but McCloy is defending it quite comfortably.
Big is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Big throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
McCloy is looking to get back to is feet but Big passes into side control.
Big works to advance to full mount. McCloy defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McCloy is trying desperately to improve position.
Big is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Big prevents McCloy from getting the reversal.
McCloy is breathing heavily.
Big landing strikes from the mount and McCloy is in trouble!
Big raining down hammerfists from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Big loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have McCloy scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Big land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Big stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Big!
